Hey there everyone, and an extra hello and thank you to my new watchers! It's been a while since my last update, so here we are.
I'm still living at home and applying for what I can job-wise, but still really got no further in deciding what I want to do with my life. One thing I have decided though is that while I have the time I should throw myself more into some personal projects I'd like to do.
The first is my art and designs, and further to my designs referencing existing games and shows which I plan to continue and upload here, I'm also intending to work on some more original works. Mostly in the vein of animal designs in the style of my orange raccoon avatar, so expect to see a few of them coming in the near future. And if you're not bothered, you can always ignore them and just look at my other stuff!
Next is a gaming blog I've been meaning to set up for a while, and have finally done today. Called The Digital Trigger
, I've set it up using word press, and I intend to use it as a place to practice and improve my writing on a regular basis, with opinion pieces on game design, retrospects of old games and comments on games I'm currently playing. If you think any of that might even slightly interest you I'd of course very much appreciate you taking some time to have a look (and please comment if you do, I'd love some feedback!). The hope is that perhaps after a while writing on my own blog I could expand out and start writing for other places.
Further to non-fiction writing on the subject of videogames I'm also trying to push myself to write more fiction. As I'm sure everyone does I keep having ideas that seem interesting in my head, so writing them down can't be a bad thing. Mostly though I'm keeping this to myself as I don't want to spam people on here watching me for my artwork with random fictional writing, and I doubt many people at all would be interested in reading it anyway!
Finally I'm also playing with the idea for several youtube videos using stop motion (I've been playing around with learning how to use VirtualDub the last week and I already tried out a few things as well as digging out an old camera tripod). I already have my channel mostly set up, so if I do get anything done I'll make sure to link it here.
That's pretty much all from me. I hope you all had a fun Halloween (and bonfire night too if you're over here in the UK), and now the long build-up to Christmas can begin!
